Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Barrandian Neoproterozoic. Nature Reserve, southern slopes of so called Fajman Rock. Outcrops of lydites with stone fields along hill foot. Underlying metabasalts with lydite interlayers. Also frost cliffs and many evidences of mechanical frost weathering.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Bohemicum (Central Bohemian region) - Barrandien
