Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Moravosilesian Palaeozoic, Quaternary volcanics. National Nature MOnument. The best developed scoria cone in the Bohemian Massif with outcrops in summit cone parts. Asymmetry of of cone shape was caused by prevailing wind regime and direction of lava flow. Scoria deposits are coarse grained, not welded and without ash fraction. Mechanism of volcanic activity corresponds to a low-energy strombolian eruption. Four lava flows belong to this area, their age is 1.5 and 2.4 Ma.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Quaternary - Quaternary volcanism of Bohemian Massif
Stratigraphy: kenozoikum - terciér (paleogén - neogén), kenozoikum - kvartér
