Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Central Bohemian and West Bohemian Late Palaeozoic. Outcrops of sandstones and conglomerates of Late Carboniferous Týnec Formation. Bedrock is covered by Quaternary regolith, fluvial sediments, rock waste and peat bog organic deposits.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Upper Carboniferous and Permian - Central and Western Bohemian Late Palaeozoicum, Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Quaternary
Stratigraphy: paleozoikum - karbon - svrchní karbon - siles, kenozoikum - kvartér - holocén
Subject: geomorphology, sedimentology
Geological phenomenon: outcrop, scree, pseudocrast cave, peat bog, characteristic rock
