Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Outcrops of banded calc-silicate rocks on slopes of the valley of the Hazlovský potok Stream north of Hazlov near Cheb. The site is located in the exocontact of the Smrčiny pluton, where original crystalline limestones were transformed into calc-silicate rock by contact metamorphism. The mineral assemblage includes vesuviane (egerane), diopside, anorthite and quartz. The site is protected as a nature monument.
