Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Outer Group of Nappes (Menilite-Krosno), Quaternary. Nature monument protecting a flood plain with meandering Lučin River with its vegetation. Small outcrops of bedrock on adjacent slope. Bedrocks consist of sediments and teschenites of the Silesian and Subsilesian nappe units (Early Cretaceous up to Eocene). A fault sole, evidencing nappe movement on a Carpathian Foredeep, cuts this area.
