Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Moravosilesian Devonian and Culm, neovolcanics. Small elevation formed by Culm greyewackes and clayey shales of the Moravice Formation, cut by a body of basaltic neovolcanite. Its radiometric age is 20 mil. years. It possibly represents a volcano conduit. Its aphanitic groundmass contains phenocrysts of olivine and pyroxene. Some xenoliths of Culm sediments were also found.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moravosilesian region - Moravosilesian Palaeozoicum, Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Tertiary - Dispersed Alcalic volcanits
Stratigraphy: paleozoikum - karbon - spodní karbon - kulm, kenozoikum - terciér (paleogén - neogén)
Subject: volcanology, petrology, mining and mining impacts
