Geology

Short characteristics of the site: A spoil tip after extraction of base metals south of an abandoned shaft, west of Vernéřov near Aš. The mine dump contains material of amblygonite pegmatite with a variaty of ore minerals (kesterite, cassiterite, etc, intruded in paragneisses of the Smrčiny Crystalline Complex. The site is protected as a nature monument.
