Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Vienna Basin, Neogene and Quaternary. Road cut exhibiting 6 m thick section of micaceous silty sands of the Pannonian C-D biozone and overlying loess deposited on leeward side of a slope. This loess is sandy in some layers, calcareous, with malacofauna. It is covered by soil horizon. This soil horizon is separated from underlying loess by an erosion surface.
