Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Moldanubicum, Šumava Mts, Quaternary. Vast area of wetland systems, largest in the Šumava National Park, undoubtedly of European importance. System of spring fields, fens and peatbogs separated by forested areas. Bedrocks oconsists of migmatized paragneiss which has been intruded by coarse biotite granite of Weinsberg type, locally also by two-mica granite of Eisgarn type.
