Geology
Short characteristics of the site: This locality embraces the summit and slopes of the "Vysoký kámen - the Tall Rock " of the Novohradské podhůří- the New Castle foothills. The medium grained biotite granite of the Weinsberg type crops out. It belongs to the Moldanubian Pluton. In the elevated parts of a landscape frost morphological features are present, such as frost cliffs, castle koppies, tors and block fields. The locality represents part of the Central Moldanubian Massif.
