Short characteristics of the site: Czech part of the highest area of the Šumava Mountains, situated along border between Czechia, Bavaria and Austria. Frost weathering modified landscape geomorphology. Two-mica granite prevails among rocks in this area. Plešné Lake fills the glacial cirque with marginal 300 metres high rocky wall. The locality is classified as Nature Monument and is situated in the National Park Šumava.
