Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Silesicum, metamorphic units. Abandoned quarry exposing crystalline limestone of the upper part of the Branná Group. So called Ramzová fracture zone cuts locality surroundings and tectonic movements caused formation of mylonites. Crystalline limestones are deeply weathered and karstified, some fractures are opened and with sinter fills. Also many tectonic phenomena in limestones, e.g. fracture systems and foliation.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moravosilesian region - Silezicum
Stratigraphy: paleozoikum
Subject: stratigraphy, petrology, structural geology
Geological phenomenon: characteristic rock, deformation fabrics, karst
Genesis: metamorphic (general metamorphism)
Rock: limestone
Territorial conservation
