Geology
Short characteristics of the site: A continuous series of outcrops on the left bank of the Ohře River, max. 30 m high near Lužný, Stráž nad Ohří area. Schistose muscovite-biotite to biotite-muscovite orthogneisses belong to the Ohře Crystalline Complex. Foliation planes are deformed to metre-sized folds, with stretching lineation defined by mica crystal alignment. Lineation plunges vary within individual foliation planes. The best example of this type of tectonic deformation in the Krušné hory Mts.
