Geology
Short characteristics of the site: An abandoned quarry at Peklo 1.5 km SW of Boč near Stráž nad Ohří. The quarry shows a prominent compound dyke of analcimite (Oceán Dyke) of Tertiary age ca. 100 m thick, striking NW-SE. Columnar jointing is accentuated by former quarrying. Dykes of nephelinite to analcimite concentrate to a broad tectonic zone normal to the Krušné hory Fault, and coincide with issues of acidulous waters. A nature monument.
