Geology
Short characteristics of the site: A flooded open-cast coal mine west of Teplice (Barbora Mine) 1300 m long and 38 m in elevation gain. The mine exploited a lignite seam until 1973, still partly preserved on the bottom. The seam is overlain by clays and locally developed sands. Gradual flooding of the mine induced slope instability and landsliding. Now a recreation area.
