Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Rocky wall in the south - west part of Broumov centrum and of the monastery complex . Rocky walls at the right bank of the Stěnava River, below the monastery garden. Characteristic development of Martínkovice Member (Broumov Formation): predominant red-brown mudstones with subordinate fine sandstone layers. The walls are modelled by erosion proceses.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Upper Carboniferous and Permian - Lugic Late Palaeozoicum (including Triassic deposits)
