Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Giant quarry with large outcrops of the Lochkovian and Pragian stages. Kotýz Limestone is penetrated by numerous neptunic dykes with younger fillings of Pragian and Dalejan ages. Koněprusy Limestone forms a part of the reefal complex with respective fauna and sedimentary structures.
