Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Rocky slope above the Tichá Orlice River valley. Numerous outcrops of the Upper Cretaceous sandstones (called also "opuka", the Jizera Beds, Upper Turonian), calcareous marlstones and siltstones. Remarkable geomorphological features. Rock pillars, ravines and pseudokarst caverns occur. The locality is classified as Natural Reserve and is situated in the Nature Park Orlice.
