Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Along the hill summit there are outcrops of limestones of the Praha Formation in a special facial development, i.e. transition from a bioclastic up to the micritic facies. Abundant superficial karst features. Stratigraphically very important.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Bohemicum (Central Bohemian region) - Barrandien
