Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Remnant of a monogenic volcano on the northern periphery of the Doupovské hory Volcanic Complex. Three lava flows alternate with coarse pyroclastic deposits of local origin.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Tertiary - Basins under Krušné hory Mts.and adjoining volcanic uplands
Stratigraphy: kenozoikum - terciér (paleogén - neogén)
