Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Mldanubian Central Massif, Melechov Massif.Meandering Sázava River with its channel, beaches and slopes. Specific granite type, called Stvořidla, fine grained leucocratic biotite-muscovite granite. This type is emplaced into surrounding body of coarse grained muscovite-biotite granite of the Melechov type. River channel and its beaches are affected by fluvial erosion and frost processes. River rapids and scattered giant granite blocks in river channel are extremely attractive.
