Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Svratka Crystalline, Nature Monument in the Protected Landscape Area. Rocky feature erosionally separated from the main ridge of the Devět Skal formed of migmatized and biotite gneisses. Frost weathering acted as a main agent of rock separation. The rock consists mostly of its light part - leucosome - with quartz, plagioclase and potassium feldspar. Structure is granoblastic without preferred orientation.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Kutná Hora and Svratka region - Svratka crystalline complex
Stratigraphy: proterozoikum
Subject: geomorphology, petrology
Geological phenomenon: rock, block field
Genesis: frost weathering, metamorphic (general metamorphism)
Rock: gneiss
