Geology

Short characteristics of the site: The rocky outcrop on the slope above deeply cut valley of the Želetavka River.This rock consists of biotite granulite which is disintegrated into blocks and angular boulders. They cover great part of surface forming typical stone field of frost origin. The granulite body encloses in places small bodies of amphibolites and also of orthogneisses. This locality belongs to the West Moravian Moldanubicum Zone as a Natural Reserve.
