Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Svratka Crystalline. Deeply cut Svratka RIver valley, also rocky ouctrops overlooking a Vír Dam. Instructive outpcrops, mainly with two-mica leucocratic migmatites, underlain by two-mica mica schists, lepidoblastic, with garnet, medium- up to coarse grained. Nature reserve with precious natural forest stand.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Kutná Hora and Svratka region - Svratka crystalline complex
