Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Rocky wall at a outer bank of the Stěnava River, about 200 m long, in the western part of Hynčice village. Olivětín Member (Broumov Formation - Autunian) in volcanodetritic facies: sandstones and conglomerates with thin mudstone interbeds, diagonal to cross - bedding, honeycomb and other type of selecting weathering.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Upper Carboniferous and Permian - Lugic Late Palaeozoicum (including Triassic deposits)
Stratigraphy: paleozoikum - perm
