Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Carpathian Foredeep, Neogene. Large open pit quarrying Tertiary and Quaternary sediments. Basal sandy clays (Eggenburg age) are overlain by fluvial terrace sands and gravels with clayey intraclasts. They show common both planar and wash-out current bedding structures.
