Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Barrandian Proterozoic. Road cut exposing Neoproterozoic siltstones. They are finely laminated, slightly contactly metamorphosed, with some quartz veinlets. Also thin aplite vein occurs. Foliation direction was measured.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Bohemicum (Central Bohemian region) - Barrandien
