Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Artificial outcrop exposing volcaniclastic sediments. They were formed by hyaloclastic pocesses and subsequent redeposition of fine-grained material. Sedimentologically and volcanologically interesting locality.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Tertiary - Basins under Krušné hory Mts.and adjoining volcanic uplands
