Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Several isolated rocks at the path in a forest on the slope 400 m NW of the church in Semily - Semily Formation (Carboniferous, Stephanian C) - conglomeratic facies. Redbrown, mostly coarse grained conglomerates, interbedded with subordinate layers of pebbly sandstones. Pebbles are subangular to subrounded, some angular. Maximum diametre of these pebbles (cobbles) is 25 cm. They are composed of phyllites, lydites, gneises and crystalline limestones of Krkonoše - Jizerské hory Mts. Psephites are the deposits of alluvial fans (fanglomerate type).
