Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Small rock on the top of Kyselá hora hill 400 m SE of the church in Malé Svatoňovice. The rock is formed by Cenomanian quartzose sandstones with pebbly admixture (Korycany Member of the Peruc - Korycany Formation). Basal Cretaceous sandstones are underlain by whitish to pinkish pebbly sandstones of Permian (Saxonian) Trutnov Formation. This, uppermost, part of the unit, represents the fossil weathering profile of the underlying Trutnov Formation, which is normally of the red colour. It is formed by psephite facies with andesite clasts.
