Short characteristics of the site: Underground quarries formerly used for the extraction of "opukas" - calcareous siltstones to fine-grained sandstones with limestone banks of the Jizera Formation, Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. Stratigraphically important site with historical finds of fossil fishes.
