Short characteristics of the site: Discontinuous outcrops in the basal pyroclastics of the Most Basin on the right bank of the Lužický potok Stream, north of Žichov. Tuffs and tuffites are intercalated with freshwater algal limestone. The surrounding field provides abundant platy fragments of diatomite, which yielded fossil leaves, fishes, amphibians, crustaceans and insects in the past, documenting Oligomiocene age of the tuffs. Fragments of silicified wood are common.
