Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Rock built by a trachytic laccolith. Magma ascended along a fault and was emplaced into Cretaceous marlstones close to the stratigraphic boundary between the Březno Formation and Marboltice Formation. Hydrothermal minerals are abundant, as natrolite, apophyllite, calcite, analcite and thomsonite. Cretaceous marlstones contain minerals formed by a contact metamorphosis. Significant locality from many viewponts.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Tertiary - Basins under Krušné hory Mts.and adjoining volcanic uplands
Stratigraphy: kenozoikum - terciér (paleogén - neogén)
Subject: geomorphology, mineralogy, paleontology, petrology
Geological phenomenon: river terrace, fluvial terrace, intrusion, selective erosion
Genesis: volcanic
Rock: trachyte
Territorial conservation
