Short characteristics of the site: Active quarry. Its upper parts expose volcaniclastic rocks formed by an interaction lava-water. These hyaloclastite breccia contains basalt fragments within completely argillitized groundmass. Petrologically and mineralogically interesting locality.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Tertiary - Basins under Krušné hory Mts.and adjoining volcanic uplands
