Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Rocky promontory towering above the Labe (Elbe River). It consists of a trachyte which has been emplaced along faults near the Cretaceous basement and volcanic complex. Subsequently strongly influenced by river erosion. Geomorphologically and petrologically significant locality.
