Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Rocky elevation consisting of a basanite intrusion into sandstones of the Merboltice Formation. Volcanites have been strongly affected by erosion and thus the outcrops are surrounded by thick blocky talus. In voids between blocks there are special microclimatic conditions enabling snow and ice preservation.
