Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Rocky cliff exposing a section of České Středohoří Mts. volcanosedimentary complex. Volcanic extrusion alternate with phases of alteration of volcanic products. Lava flows are cut by a dyke of a nepheline basanite. Volcanologically significant site.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Tertiary - Basins under Krušné hory Mts.and adjoining volcanic uplands
Stratigraphy: kenozoikum - terciér (paleogén - neogén)
