Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Barrandian Neoproterozoic. Dominant rocky ridge in a landscape. It is made of typical blackish-greyish lydite, siliceous rock, containing about 99 per cent of silica. Lydites occur as interbeds in Neoproterozoic schists and greywackes. This locality represents unique morphological element in the central part of the Barrandian.
