Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Prominent hill formed of a phonolite body. Isolated by an erosion of surrounding sediments. Intrusive body emplaced into a boundary between the Bílína Crystalline and marlstones of the Březno Formation. Petrologically and tectonically significant locality.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Tertiary - Basins under Krušné hory Mts.and adjoining volcanic uplands
