Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Geologically, botanically and touristically very attractive area. Several levels of terrace deposits bear traces of old gold washing. Also special plants and animals. - Jílové volcanic belt. Nice outcrop of pillow lavas and nearby contact of albite granite with volcanites. One of the best examples of pillow lavas. Large section in the Barrandian Upper Proterozoic. Kralupy-Zbraslav Group and Jílové belt. The outcrops of albite granite. Strongly affected tectonically.
