Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Natural outcrops in the forest expose magmatic breccia and thick body of quartz keratophyre. They belong to the Kralupy-Zbraslav Group of the Barrandian Proterozoic and Jílové volcanic belt. Petrologically important locality.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Bohemicum (Central Bohemian region) - Barrandien
