Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Active sand pit exposing sands of the Bzenec Formation of the Vienna Basin (Pannonian). The sands are fine-grained, silty, calcareous with intercalations of calcareous siltstones. Also interlayers of coaly clays and some fossiliferous horizons. Sedimentologically and paleontologically significant locality.
