Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned quarry exposing a transgressive setting of marine Cretaceous sediments on the Ordovcician quartzites of the Chrudimn Paleozoic. Basal Cretaceous sediments belong to the Korycany Beds (Cenomanian) and consist of boulder conglomerate. In their matrix fossils occur. Sedimentologically interesting locality.
