Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned quarry and nearby outcrops. Locality of Nové Město phyllite on the base of Cretaceous sediments. They are strongly weathered, bleached and fossile. Cretaceous sediments are represented by a basal Korycany Formation only 5O cm thick and overlying marlstones of the Bílá Hora Formation. Stratigraphically interesting locality and is recommended for protection.
