Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Outcrops exposing tectonic boundary between the Upper Proterozoic and Permocarboniferous. Northernmost occurrence of the Permocaboniferous of the Blanice Graben in the Český Brod area. The sediments belong stratigraphically to Chýnov Beds of the Český Brod Formation.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Bohemicum (Central Bohemian region) - Barrandien, Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Upper Carboniferous and Permian - Late Palaeozoicum of furrows
