Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned, partly recultivated quarry exposing Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous sediments. They consist of multicoloured calcareous claystones and marlstones silicified in places. Interlayers of red and greenish cherts and graded layers of bioclastic limestones. Stratigraphically important locality.
