Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Group of rocks formed of quartzose sandstones (Quadersandstones). Rounded surface of sandstone columns is remarkable. Whitish sandstones are medium- up to coarse-grained with common current bedding. Stratigraphically these sandstones belong to the Jizera Formation (Middle up to Upper Turonian). Geomorphologically unique site.
