Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned quarry in Horní Bečva is good example of pebbly mudstones within the Istebna Formation of the Silesian Unit. The quarry is the palaeobotanical type locality. Knobloch (1971 and 1977) described here several species of Cretaceous fossil fruits and seeds reworked in marine sediments.
