Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Subsilesian and Silesian unit. Outcrops in a river channel and its slopes. Bedrock consists mostly of clayey sediments of flysch Carpathians. River channel is of riffle-like morphology and with coarse gravel deposits. Subsilesian unit is represented by Maastrichtian Frýdek Formation, Silesian unit by Lower Cretaceous sediments. Nature Monument.
