Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Abandoned flooded quarry exhibiting outcrops of biotite- and amphibole-biotite granodiorite. Abundant veinlets contain quartz and also epidote. In the uppermost quarry part granodiorite is completely weathered into loamy eluvium. There are also ferruginous sandstones of the lowermost Peruc-Korycany Formation. These Cretaceous sediments form a fill of Blansko Graben.
